Duties:

Design, implement, test, and document software applications systematically. Manage running applications in production, and ensure success of digital products through achieving KPIs. Participate in product scoping, discovery, framing, and inceptions by providing technical input to translate user features into system design. Lead inception and iteration planning meetings, and provide technical input in close partnership with the product manager to reduce backlogs. Participate in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups to shape product architecture and design. Lead collaboration, and strategy alignment across product portfolios (cross-product) in partnership with product managers, other peers and key stakeholders. Serve as expert on multiple business domains, and technology stacks. Provide technical leadership to guide the team in choosing the right technology, solve technical problems, and resolve any technical conflicts within the team. Coach team, and lead daily practices using paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building products. Establish continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices. Lead and participate in knowledge sharing, and contribute to the overall growth of the collective knowledge of the CompoZed Labs community.

Position is fully remote may work from anywhere in the U.S.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation architecting and designing digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation architecting and designing digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated Expertise (DE) identifying and devising strategies to address the production support environment, achieving balance between the right technology and business process skillset within the team, and reducing the dependency on individual resources; DE establishing and monitoring KPIs to track overall defect rates, and establishing and monitoring goals for the Development team; DE managing the consumption of high SPLUNK Database and JVM allocation based on the number of transactions running; and DE managing workstreams to enhance user experience by improving platform availability and performance through the integrations of various services into the backend.Apply online at https://jobsearch.allstate.com/ and reference position number: 749430

Compensation offered for this role is$134,118.00/yearand is based on experience and qualifications.
