Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

1What Is the Opportunity?
Under direct oversight reports to Technical Director, Property Development. Responsible for advancing property skill development of RC Consultants, Regional Specialists, and Specialists in a timely, efficient and effective manner. Assist with keeping the quality of the property discipline high throughout assigned Field Risk Control region(s). Responsible for tracking and monitoring property skill development in a manner that development activities and status (e.g. lagging, on-target, completion) can be easily seen and understood by staff and leadership to allow for corrective action, appropriate work assignments, and Level of Expertise to be properly handled.What Will You Do?
- In concert with field leadership and the Technical Director, Property Development, determine property skill development gaps and oversee the timely, efficient and effective means of capturing current needs, and monitoring and moving staff forward on their individual property development plans.
- Responsible for property skill development in the assigned Field Risk Control region(s) through training, active coaching, and co-surveys. Build learning strategies and Individual Dev Plans for field staff.
- Identify technical development needs of staff and engage resources needed to support staff development.
- Attract, recruit, retain and develop top property loss control talent. Work in close collaboration with peers and field leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Insurance and Risk Control knowledge; strong understanding of PC lines of coverage and Commercial Lines products and the related Risk Control disciplines.
- Prior role that included technical training or mentoring within the property discipline.
- Certified Fire Protection Specialist, NFPA Committee Member or similar earned designation.
- Demonstrates expert property knowledge and can apply the competency in the most complex situations.
- Able to help others understand the skill or discipline.
- Effective platform skills with presentation and training skills for all audiences.
- Superior interpersonal skills demonstrated in a variety of settings such as communicating complex topics, influencing and negotiating.
- Must have or be able to attain appropriate certification to meet specific state requirements where applicable.
What is a Must Have?
- Bachelors' degree.
- 6 years of technical experience within fire/science, engineering discipline, or technical science/property field.
- Valid drivers license.
