Position Overview:

As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, providing exceptional service to clients, and ensuring their insurance needs are met effectively. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, handling inquiries, policy changes, renewals, and claims assistance. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for account growth and retention.


  • Manage a portfolio of commercial lines accounts, including but not limited to property, liability, and commercial auto insurance.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to understand their insurance requirements and provide personalized solutions.
  • Review and analyze client insurance portfolios to identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate adjustments.
  • Coordinate policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and concerns, providing expert advice and guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting and claims departments, to address client needs and resolve issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to advise clients on risk management strategies.
  • Assist in new business development efforts by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policy details, and other relevant information in the agency management system.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, with a focus on account management.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverages, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations
  • Proficient in insurance agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hold relevant insurance licenses (e.g., Property & Casualty)
