Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements specific to the insurance industry.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and variances, providing insights for decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in accounting for insurance and reinsurance companies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience in the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements related to insurance and reinsurance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
