About the Role
Leading tech enabled national insurance brokerage dedicated to providing comprehensive insurance solutions to the trucking industry seeks an experienced and knowledgeable Insurance Brokerage Professional to join their growing team as a Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist.
This role involves supporting the producers in placing new business submissions and developing strong underwriting relationships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the trucking insurance market, stay updated on industry trends, and seek out competitive options to help grow the producers’ books of business.
Duties & Responsibilites
- Effectively market insurance risks to carriers
- Pre-underwrite commercial accounts within the guidelines and procedures of insurance companies
- Build strong relationships with insurance company underwriters through professional risk submissions, visitations, and positive negotiations
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of commercial insurance experience within the trucking niche, heavily involved in business placement and pricing negotiations; this experience can come from time spent on the agency side as a marketing specialist or on the wholesale broker side
- Leverage relationships with leading commercial auto insurance markets, especially in trucking; use these relationships to help producers get attention when they submit accounts, leading to competitive quotes and more appointments
- Experience in a sales-based organization is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of the trucking industry and current market trends
- Knowledge of risk management technologies and how their impact on insurance performance translates into a better risk
- Proficiency in insurance underwriting guidelines and procedures
Compensation
$80,000 to $120,000
