Homeowners Product Development & Compliance Analyst - Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented product development & compliance professional to join our client’s team. The Homeowners Product Development & Compliance Analyst will work closely with general management, underwriting, and product management. This role is crucial in ensuring our client’s homeowner’s insurance products are properly filed and approved by state Insurance Departments. This highly-visible, hands-on position will engage with all parts of our organization as well as with regulators, external partners, vendors, and service providers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of program design & development with existing state insurance regulations
• Monitor, analyze, and assess implications of proposed or new regulatory developments
• Assist the Product Management Team with product filing preparation before submission
• Manage product filing submissions to respective state Insurance Departments through SERFF
• Communicate internally about regulatory developments and program regulatory filings
• Rewrite underwriting guidelines and update underwriting manuals to ensure compliance and effectiveness

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in an insurance carrier product development/compliance role
• Solid understanding of ISO homeowner insurance policy coverage forms
• Solid understanding with the SERFF system for homeowner insurance filing submissions for rates, rules, and forms
• Comprehensive understanding of homeowners insurance products, including pricing, product design, and coverages
• Basic understanding of supporting insurance functions, such as Underwriting, Marketing, IT, Operations & Processing, Claims, Billing, and Customer Service

$80,000 to $110,000
