About the Role

Opportunity to join well respected property/casualty insurance company that has built a solid reputation on values of integrity, honesty, hard work, and service to the community.

We are looking for an Actuary to join our client’s team and provide actuarial support for this leading Utah personal lines insurer. You will be responsible for performing data analysis, developing predictive models, and preparing reports for management and regulators. You will collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to create innovative solutions for business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyze data to evaluate company performance and profitability by line of business
• Develop and maintain predictive models and tools for pricing, reserving, forecasting, and reporting purposes
• Design and lead implementation of rating plans and underwriting processes, working with IT to specify needs and test development and solutions
• Provide actuarial input and recommendations to support business decisions and strategic initiatives across the organization
• Monitor and assess the impact of changes in regulatory, economic, and competitive environments

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in E&S commercial property, with a focus on industrial properties (optional), offices buildings, retail storefronts, nursing homes, and habitational risks
• Proven track record of success in underwriting and risk assessment within the E&S market
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a start-up environment

Compensation, Benefits, & Perks

$140k to $250k + bonus. 401k, pension plan, competitive benefits.
